My Palarong Pambansa 2016 coverage with Rappler

I have been interning with Rappler this summer as part of my academic requirements for my degree. My first assignment with the multimedia outlet was to cover the Palarong Pambansa.

The following are the published articles in which either I have written solely, in part, or contributed social media coverage.

  1. Inside the main venue days before Palarong Pambansa 2016
  2. The new Palaro contender: Negros Island Region
  3. Albay has security, health covered as Palaro draws near
  4. Grade 2 gymnast from Davao hopes for medal to help siblings
  5. Two Dumaguete City archers take home gold, silver medals
  6. CAR loses men’s wrestling title, pushes for sport regularization at Palaro
  7. Mimaropa bags gold in Palaro elementary boys double takraw
  8. Palaro baller Ry Dela Rosa hopes to follow in family’s PBA footsteps
  9. Palaro 2016 Mood Meter: Most participants are Happy

While the annual sporting event is now over, my internship with Rappler is not yet finished as we shift gears from sports to politics with its #PHVote coverage. That’s a whole different ball game worth experiencing!

Of course, I can never thank enough the Rappler Sports team for entrusting us interns to do sports stories even though we never wrote one beforehand. Truly, an unforgettable learning experience!
